Alteri’s Italian American Restaurant off Route 9W in Glenmont was
reduced to rubble after a fire broke out early Saturday morning,
gutting the interior of the building. The Bethlehem Police received a
call reporting a fire at 1:40 a.m. and responding officers arrived at
the scene to find smoke billowing out of the exhaust vents to the
rear of the building.
